AP ECET 2025 Notification: The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) 2025 notification has been released for diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates to secure lateral entry admission into the second year of B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharm courses. JNTU Anantapur will conduct the exam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. Candidates can apply online for the AP ECET 2025 Exam from 12th March 2025 onwards. Education Qualification:

The candidates should posess with Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy from an AICTE-approved institution or equivalent.

OR

A 3-year B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Marks:

  • Minimum 45% aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST/BC candidates).
  • Diploma candidates appearing in the final year are eligible but must pass before admission.

Age Limit: There is no age restrictions are mentioned in the official notification.

Andhra Pradesh ECET Application Fee 2025

The AP ECET 2025 application fee varies based on the candidate’s category:

  • OC Students: Rs. 600/-
  • BC Students: Rs. 550/-
  • SC/ST Students: Rs. 500/-

Payment can be made online through AP Online services, Credit/debit cards or Net banking.

AP ECET Exam Pattern 2025

  • 85% Reserved Seats: For local candidates.
  • 15% Unreserved Seats: Open to all candidates.
  • Private Institutions: 10% over and above sanctioned intake for lateral entry.

Preference is given to diploma holders over B.Sc. graduates.

Candidates should follow the below given steps to complete the application process:

  • Visit the official website: https://sche.ap.gov.in/ECET.
  • Read the AP ECET Notification and click on Make payment
  • Note the Payment Reference Id and Click on “Application form”
  • Enter the Payment Ref Id, Diploma/B.Sc hall ticket number, date of birth
  • Click on “Proceed to fill Application”
  • Fill out the application form with personal, educational, and contact details.
  • Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the AP ECET 2025 Application fee online.
  • Review the form once and submit it.
  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

AP ECET Qualifying Marks / Cutoff 2025

To qualify for AP ECET Exam 2025, the candidates must score at least 25% of the total marks:

  • Minimum Marks Required: 50 out of 200.
  • No Minimum Marks for SC/ST: These candidates will be seated regardless of their scores.

Note: Ranks obtained under SC/ST relaxation will be canceled if the candidate’s claim is invalid during verification.

Order of Preference While Giving Admissions

Admission into various courses under AP ECET 2025 follows a specific order of preference based on the candidate’s diploma or degree specialization. Below is the details:

  • Information Technology and Computer Science Engineering
    • First preference is given to candidates with diplomas in Information Technology and Computer Science Engineering, respectively.
    • Remaining seats are filled by diploma holders from other engineering branches based on merit rank.
  • Chemical Engineering
    • Candidates with diplomas in Textile Technology (Design & Manufacturing) or Textile Technology (Knitting) must have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at the intermediate level to be eligible.
  • Biotechnology
    • Priority is given to diploma holders in Biotechnology.
    • Vacant seats are allocated equally between Pharmacy and Chemical Engineering diploma holders.
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
    • Diploma holders in Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics & Instrumentation must appear for the Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) exam.
    • Seats are allocated for related courses like Instrumentation Engineering and Applied Electronics.
  • B.Sc. Degree Holders
    • Admission for B.Sc. graduates (with Mathematics) is considered only after all eligible diploma holders are admitted.

This systematic preference ensures fair allocation of seats based on specialization and merit.
